DALBY

toowoomba region

Situated in the black soil plains of the Northern Darling Downs, Dalby is a hive of rural enterprise. But it's not all work in this picturesque town. Every March, townsfolk celebrate Dalby Cotton Week, a festival run over 10 days. The festival combines agricultural interests including farm tours, with diverse entertainment including race days, the Big Aussie Barbecue, a street parade, golf days, a triathlon and many other events catering for practically every taste.

Thomas Jack Park is a lovely landscaped park on the edge of the Dalby town centre - a good spot to stop and stretch your legs when you arrive. There is plenty of local history and culture on display at Pioneer Park Museum, with it's wide range of exhibits and at the Regional Gallery, where regular exhibitions are held.
