ROLLESTON
Rolleston is located in the Bauhinia Shire of Queensland Central Highlands and can be reached from the Gregory Highway. Rolleston is 70 kilometres east of Springsure and is the last fuel stop before heading towards Carnarvon Gorge National Park, Rolleston is also the closest town to Lake Nug Nuga.
Carnarvorn Gorge National Park is characterised by a deep sandstone gorge draped in lush green palms and ferns. Hidden away on the sandstone cliffaces are a number of sacred Aboriginal art sites. Visitors may camp in the park or stay in the comfort in one of the accommodation houses.
